“A Picture is worth a thousand words.”
We’ve all heard the cliche. There’s a lot of truth in that old saw if your goal is to evoke an unspecific emotional response. Pictures may also trump words if your message can be easily graphically represented.
If you want to make someone think, but you don’t really care what action (if any) that thought leads them to, use a picture.
Images that are supposed to produce a specific response are best illustrated with words. Whether you’re trying to sell your product, raise funds for your favorite cause, or educate people, word pictures get your message across. I can tell a complete story that doesn’t rely on the viewer’s frame of reference.
I’m a master of illusion. I can create something from nothing. I can turn something into something else. Blank paper becomes blog post, marketing copy, or some other illustration at my command. If you need a more physical illustration, I can do that, too, with construction paper, cardboard, and string if necessary. I can achieve the desired effect on a shoestring – and have a great time in the process. I can illustrate your message and make sure people get it.
